In a generous move to support young talent, Ponder Education Foundation representatives Tim Tipton and Kim Broadstreet recently awarded a substantial grant of $1,340 to Junior Katie Hale. The grant aims to facilitate her attendance at The Washington Journalism and Media Conference scheduled for this summer in Fairfax, Virginia. The foundation's commitment to fostering educational opportunities is evident as they empower promising students like Katie to explore and excel in the field of journalism.

Please Remember: There will be no school on Monday, January 15th to observe the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday. The weather, however, might impact our ability to open PISD schools safely on Tuesday (1/16). If it does, we will provide notice to you by 5:30 am through email, text, webpage, and social media.

1. Early Release on Thursday, December 21.
- All campuses will have an early release at 1 pm.
- Lunch will be served prior to early release.
- Buses will be running at 1 pm for transportation.
2. Winter Break Closure:
- Ponder ISD campuses will be closed from Friday, December 22nd through Monday, January 8th.

Ponder High School appreciates Army and Navy recruiters for visiting campus yesterday and answering student questions.
Ponder High School will offer the ASVAB for interested 10th- 12th graders on January 18, 2024. The ASVAB is an aptitude test that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success. Students may register in SchooLinks under events.
