The Ponder Elementary School Library, in collaboration with the Gifted and Talented program, is thrilled to announce a spectacular Community STEM Night! Mark your calendars for Thursday, February 22, 2024, and join us for an evening of exploration and fun.
We're honored to have the Frontiers of Flight Museum in Dallas bring the wonders of the cosmos to our doorstep with their portable planetarium. This is a unique opportunity for students to gaze at the stars, learn about the universe, and ignite their passion for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
But that's not all! There will be engaging STEM activities designed to inspire and challenge our young learners.

It was an exciting morning at Ponder Elementary! Tanger Outlet Mall was on site awarding a $1000 dollar grant to PES for art supplies! Mrs. Wells, our PE teacher, wrote a grant for art supplies to be used in our art classes! Congratulations, we can't wait to see what they create!

Heads up: Ponder is facing some serious winter weather potential this weekend. Please know, that PISD is on it, keeping in touch with Denton County Emergency Management and neighboring school districts for the latest info.
Please Remember: There will be no school on Monday, January 15th to observe the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday. The weather, however, might impact our ability to open PISD schools safely on Tuesday (1/16). If it does, we will provide notice to you by 5:30 am through email, text, webpage, and social media.

1. Early Release on Thursday, December 21.
- All campuses will have an early release at 1 pm.
- Lunch will be served prior to early release.
- Buses will be running at 1 pm for transportation.
2. Winter Break Closure:
- Ponder ISD campuses will be closed from Friday, December 22nd through Monday, January 8th.
