The Ponder ISD technology department is responsible for maintaining a stable network infrastructure as well as equipment that allows students, employees, and community members access to the various technological resources. These resources include, but are not limited to the following:

Electronic mail system
Local Area Network
Wireless LAN
Broadband Internet connection
Electronic gradebook & attendance system
Student information system
Human resources/payroll system
Food Services cashier accounting system
Data desegregation system
Teacher evaluation system
Managed HVAC system
IP surveillance system
Door access control system
Voice over IP telephone system
Numerous educational software packages
Classroom audio/video projection systems

Additionally, the technology department is responsible for managing and repairing all computers, printers, and peripherals within the District; training staff on the use of resources and software available to them; updating the District's long range technology plan; completing all required paperwork for the federally funded E-Rate program; and evaluating and implementing new technology initiatives.
