I am humbled and honored to serve as the Ponder Junior High Principal. This is my eighteenth year at Ponder ISD and I love being a part of the Ponder community! I grew up in Krum, TX, and continued my education at Texas Woman's University in Denton.  My first year teaching/coaching was spent at Bowie ISD. I then returned to Krum where I taught/coached for four years. I came to Ponder in 2006 and spent my first 11 years teaching in the special education department.  I received my Masters in Educational Administration and obtained my principal certificate in 2017 from the University of Texas at Tyler.  

My husband Mike and I married in 1995, and we have two amazing children.  Our son Foster graduated from Ponder High School in 2017 and is a graduate of the University of North Texas.  Our daughter Cordie graduated from Ponder in 2021 and attends West Texas A&M.  As a family, we enjoy camping, golfing and taking road trips.

The 2024-25 school year will bring many successes and undoubtedly a few challenges. If you ever have questions, concerns, or things to celebrate about your student(s) my door is always open. Feel free to contact me anytime. Welcome aboard, and let's make it a fantastic year at!
