Extended School Day (ESD)
Welcome to the Ponder Independent School District's Extended School Day Program. Our after-school care has been organized to provide supervision within the school facilities for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade.
The Program's goal is to provide quality enriched care upon which parents can rely throughout the school year, as defined by the Ponder ISD calendar. The Program offers a variety of activities including recreation and games, enrichment areas of exploration, arts and crafts, reading, time to work on homework, and "free time" for the children to pursue their own interests in a safe, friendly, and familiar environment.

Registration
If you are interested in enrolling your student(s) into ESD for the 2023-2024 school year, there are a number of limited spaces and we are asking that you complete the form below. Once the form is completed, your students' name will be placed on a list and Stephanie Hendrix will be in contact with you regarding enrollment and tuition.

Once spots become available Mrs. Hendrix she will send instructions for completing the enrollment process.
The registration form, a $10 registration fee (which is nonrefundable) and the first weeks tuition ($50) payment must be submitted to the ESD program two working days prior to the first attendance date.
ESD Hours and Tuition Information
The Extended School Day program operates between the hours of 3:30 - 6:00 pm.
The program coincides with the PISD student attendance calendar; therefore, the program is not in operation during school holidays or school in-service days. In the event of early dismissal of school due to inclement weather, or emergency closing, the parent/guardian or other designated person will be expected to pick up the child as soon as possible. On scheduled PISD early release days, ESD will remain in operation until 6:00 pm.
After school hours, contact Email Ponder ISD or utilize the Seesaw messaging system.
We are utilizing Seesaw as a form of direct communication. If your student is enrolled you will automatically be added, and can reach the staff through Seesaw.
Extended School Day receives no financial tax support from the school district. The program salaries, supplies, and administrative expenses are supported entirely by tuition.
2023-2024 Weekly Tuition: $50.00 per week, per child
Tuition is payable by check, cash and now our new online system.

(Tuition is due the Friday prior to the week of service) Must be paid by Monday or a $10 late fee will be assessed.
The assessment of tuition is based on the total number of school days and divided evenly over the number of weeks school is in session for the year.
Each tuition installment is the same regardless of the number of school days in the week, month or semester.
